Unbroken - Team Trail Marathon
Unbroken is a multi-distance trail event held over the Easter weekend at the Hilliard State School precinct in Alexandra Hills, Queensland, with course territory in the Redlands Track Park and Scribbly Gums Conservation Area. The event is structured around a 14 km loop that teams and individual runners complete in specified sequences until their required distance is reached.
Team formats include four-person teams where each runner completes three 14 km loops to total a marathon per runner, and two-person ultra teams who complete the 14 km loop six times each. There is also a 28 km team option, a single-loop 14 km individual event, and a junior short course.
- 14 km single loop
- 28 km teams, two loops per runner
- 42 km team marathon format, three loops per runner
- 84 km ultra per runner, six loops each
- 1.8–2 km junior event
A manned aid station will be located approximately mid-way on each loop during daylight; aid remains in place at night but runners should be self-sufficient after dark. The event operates as cupless, so competitors must carry their own drinking vessel and provide their own nutrition. Qualified first aid personnel will be located adjacent to the finish precinct and on course.
On-site precinct facilities include glamping and BYO tent sites, a relay exchange zone, a hall with cover, toilets and hot showers, food and coffee vendors, and event merchandise. Entrants receive a timber finisher medal and technical tee, with additional lap items such as a collapsible cup, funnel and soft flask provided during the event. The organisers may postpone or cancel the event for safety or regulatory reasons, with a virtual option available if rescheduling is not possible.
