True Grit QLD is an outdoor obstacle course event set at Albert River Wines in Tamborine QLD on 8 and 9 August 2026. The event uses the venue's natural terrain and a range of purpose-built obstacles placed across the course. Waves are used to manage flow, with starts running every five minutes.

Distances offered:

  • 10km Elite timed competitive wave, prizes for top three, minimum age 16
  • 10km classic course, minimum age 16
  • 5km shorter course with fewer obstacles, minimum age 12

Obstacles designed for this location include A Frame, Traverse Ropes, Monkey Bars, Pontoon Bridges, Sandbag Carry, Tyre Wall, Cargo, The Big Climb and others that require running, crawling and climbing. The 10km course typically features more obstacles than the 5km course and follows natural paths where permitted.

Entries can be individual or team based; teams can be any size and group entries have special team deals for large groups. Spectators attend free. On-site camping will be available with booking through the venue when released. Parking is available on-site with a fee per vehicle.

Event provisions for finishers and participants include a finisher t-shirt, an electrolyte drink, optional finisher beer, access to medical treatment and at least one water station on course. Recommended clothing includes long pants or leggings and long socks, and running or hiking shoes. Training guidance and program options are provided by the organiser.
