Yarrabilba Trail Fest

Yarrabilba Trail Fest is a trail running event held in Yarrabilba, Queensland on 16 August 2026. The event is based in the growing Yarrabilba community and is located roughly equidistant to Brisbane and the Gold Coast, about 15 minutes from the M1 motorway. Courses use trails within Plunkett Regional Park, Wickham National Park and Wickham Timber Reserve.

The event offers three distances:

• 5.1 km Short Course
• 11.4 km Medium Course
• 18.2 km Long Course

Terrain includes sandstone slab sections, sandstone outcrops, open eucalypt forest and seasonal wildflower displays in late winter. The Short Course is described as an introduction to off road running with some hills; the Medium Course includes varied terrain and a notable ascent; the Long Course combines faster flatter sections with steeper climbs.

Participants should expect professionally timed results, race photos for purchase, finisher medals, an award ceremony and on site food and coffee after the race. Course markings will use yellow and pink tape plus coloured directional arrows; participants must follow marked routes and remain on major tracks at intersections. There are no on course cups; Medium and Long runners must carry at least 500 mL of fluids and the same is recommended for Short runners. One aid station with water is provided for the Medium and Long courses; there is no aid station on the Short Course.
