Yarrabilba Trail Fest
Yarrabilba Trail Fest is a trail running event held in Yarrabilba, Queensland on 16 August 2026. The event is located within easy travel of Brisbane and the Gold Coast and uses trails in Plunkett Regional Park, Wickham National Park and Wickham Timber Reserve. Participants can expect runs through eucalypt forest, exposures on rugged sandstone outcrops and notable wildflower displays in late winter.
Distances offered
- 5.1 km Short course. Introduction to off-road running; uphill walking encouraged.
- 11.4 km Medium course. Mixed terrain including the on edge ascent.
- 18.2 km Long course. Sandstone slab sections with steeper climbs and faster flatter sections.
The event is professionally timed and official results are published after the race. Race day services include a start/finish event precinct with toilets, parking at South Rock State School, on-course water for the Long and Medium courses and one aid station with no disposable cups. All Long and Medium runners must carry at least 500 mL of fluids; this is recommended for Short runners. Mobile phones and snake bandages are recommended. There are no toilets on course and no bins on course; participants must carry out their rubbish.
Age limits apply: Long 16 and over, Medium 13 and over, Short 6 and over. All runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult guardian aged 18 or over who is entered in the same event. Course marking uses coloured tape and directional arrows and participants must remain on the marked route and respect local residents.
