Border Bolt Running Festival

The Border Bolt Running Festival takes place in Currumbin at 164 Duringan Street on 2 August 2026. It is Race 2 of the Trail Trips Triple Crown series and uses the local Border Trails near the coast.

The course follows the Border Trails with twists, turns and ocean views. The route includes out and back sections. Trail and hill content increases with the longer distances.

Available distances:

  • 6.6 km all pavement
  • 13.5 km partial trail
  • 22 km greater trail sections and hills
  • 31 km extended trail distance and includes Strawberry Hill

The event is part of a multi race series. The Triple Crown series includes the Wild Earth In the Raw on 31 May 2026 and the Wild Earth Coastal High on 29 August 2026. Completing all three races in the Triple Crown earns a Trail Trips backpack valued at over $100. There are separate Short Course and Long Course series options with specific distance combinations for each series.
