Event Overview
The Wild Earth Coastal High is a trail running event held in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Participants run through the World-Heritage listed Lamington and Springbrook National Parks, utilizing a variety of trails that include sub-tropical rainforest, open forest, and cliff-top paths. This event serves as the third round of the Triple Crown series.
The event offers two distinct course distances:
- 28 km (The Crunch)
- 50 km
The 28 km course, known as the Crunch, features an uphill start and a technical single-track section along the Caves Circuit. Runners descend into the Numinbah Valley before navigating the stairs to Apple Tree Park and passing Little Nerang Creek. The route concludes with an ascent past Purlingbrook Falls toward the finish line in Springbrook.
The 50 km route traverses trails within Lamington National Park before descending into the Numinbah Valley. From there, the course includes multiple climbs and descents, eventually finishing adjacent to Purlingbrook Falls in Springbrook National Park.
Registered participants receive a technical race shirt or singlet, electronic timing, and access to aid stations along the course. Race entry also includes bus transfers, digital race photos, a finishers medal, and a finishers gift.
