Event Overview

UltraTrax Massanutten is a single-day endurance event held on the western slope of Massanutten, Virginia. The course is designed for walkers, hikers, and ruckers, featuring a 7-mile loop with approximately 1,631 feet of elevation gain. Participants navigate a variety of terrain, including forested single-track trails, rolling fire roads, double-track sections, and rugged ridgelines offering views of the Shenandoah Valley.

Participants can choose from four different distance levels based on the number of loops completed:

  • 7 miles (one loop)
  • 14 miles (two loops)
  • 21 miles (three loops)
  • 28 miles (four loops)

The event has a total time limit of 10 hours for all distances. Participants have the option to complete their chosen distance unweighted or by carrying a ruck or vest weighing 10, 20, or 35 pounds. Packs are weighed on the morning of the event, and non-perishable items contribute to the total weight.
