Massanutten's Revenge 100

Massanutten's Revenge 100 is a trail ultramarathon held in the Fort Valley area with a course length of 110 miles and total ascent and descent of 22,300 feet. The event is scheduled for October 2, 2026, and entry opens May 18, 2026. The overall time limit for completion is 48 hours.

The course begins in the horse parking area at Camp Roosevelt and finishes at the Camp Roosevelt pavilion. The route is run in the reverse direction of the MMT, beginning by ascending the Stephens Trail and finishing north through Duncan Hollow. The course reuses many historic MMT sections while replacing road segments with trail, and it includes two ascents of Waterfall. Course markings are minimal and runners should expect to follow existing trail blazing that can be faded at times.

Aid stations and water drops are located along the route, including Habron Gap (11.2 miles), Veach West (23.4 miles), Buzzard Rock Trailhead (33.6 miles), Elizabeth Furnace (39.7 miles), Woodstock Tower (52.3 miles), Edinburg Gap (60.5 miles), Gap Creek I and II, picnic area stops, and unattended water drops later in the course. Some aid stations permit crew access.

Organizers expect experienced ultrarunners; priority for entry is given to applicants with extensive 100 mile experience and familiarity with Massanutten trails. There is no entry fee, but entrants are assigned aid or supplies to provide. A crew requirement applies for the second half, beginning about 20 to 24 hours after the start. Pacers are permitted. Medical support is not provided on course; runners are responsible for their own health and emergency care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
