Dead of Summer 6K

In-person 5K and 10K races at Leopold’s Preserve in Broad Run on August 23, 2026, with virtual entry options and registration tiers. The event is part of the Sippin Series in conjunction with the Farm Brewery at Broad Run; walkers welcome.

A clockwise 71-mile circuit of the orange-blazed Massanutten Trail around Fort Valley, VA, with 13,500 ft of elevation change, scheduled aid stations, strict qualifications and enforced cut-offs; GPX and aid charts are provided.

Trail races on Cedar Mountain include canicross, a dog friendly 5k, a trail run without dogs, and a virtual option, with awards for top finishers and a traditional hunt breakfast.

A 110-mile trail ultramarathon in the Massanutten range with about 22,300 feet of elevation gain, a 48-hour limit, required second-half crew support, and multiple staffed and unattended aid stations.
