The 2026 Leopold’s Preserve 5k & 10k is a trail running event held at Leopold’s Preserve in Broad Run, Virginia on August 23, 2026. The event is organized by Bishops Events. Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Summer Series. Walkers are welcome and a virtual race option is offered.

- 5k - mostly a loop on dirt path, some roots.
- 10k - out-and-back with a return detour, mostly on dirt path.
Course, services, and logistics
The course is mostly flat and on dirt paths with some roots. The 10k has three water stations at about miles 0.9, 3, and 5; the 5k has two water stations at about miles 0.9 and 2.2. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Portajohns are located near the start and finish area. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a technical Drifit event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before August 12; extra shirts may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is offered. Live results will be posted online and final results with series points will be published the Monday after the race.
Venue and charity
Leopold’s Preserve is a 380-acre nature conservancy that offers seven miles of hiking trails with interpretive signage and guided hikes. The preserve is managed by the White House Farm Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
