Ultra:5K is a multi-lap running event held at Box End Park in Kempston, near Bedford. The 2026 edition marks the tenth year of the event. The format adds a strategic element by asking competitors to complete repeated 5 km laps within a set number of hours. The event is described as family friendly and encourages supporters to attend.

There are three individual race options based on the number of 5 km laps:

  • 50 km 10 x 5 km laps
  • 25 km 5 x 5 km laps
  • 15 km 3 x 5 km laps

The course is off-road, clearly signposted, and includes hills, flats, twists and turns. The entry fee includes access to sports massage during the event, a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, energy gels and bars, and energy drinks. All finishers receive a bespoke Ultra:5K medal.

Winners are determined by fastest cumulative time in each category. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall and the top three female in each race. Personalised certificates are provided for the top three in age group categories and will be sent after the event.

Entry fees vary by race and booking window; merchandise such as tech t-shirts, cotton t-shirts, hoodies and caps are available for purchase with stated prices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
