Ultra:5K - Kempston (12 July 2026)

Ultra:5K is a lap-based running event held at Box End Park, Kempston, near Bedford. The event offers three individual formats that consist of multiple 5 km laps completed consecutively on the same course. The course is off-road and clearly signposted, with hills, flat sections, twists and turns.

Entry includes access to sports massage between laps and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, energy gels and bars, and energy drinks. All finishers receive a bespoke Ultra:5K medal. Finish positions are decided by the fastest cumulative time across all laps in each format. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall and the top three female finishers in each category, and personalised certificates are provided for the top three in age-group categories; age-group certificates are sent after the event.

Merchandise such as tech and cotton t-shirts, hoodies and caps is available for purchase during entry. The event in 2026 marks the tenth year of Ultra:5K and introduces a new option in the race formats for this edition.
