Ultra:5K 2026 takes place on 12 July 2026 at Box End Road, Kempston MK43 8RQ, near Bedford, Great Britain. The event offers multiple individual race options based on repeating 5 km laps on an hourly schedule. The course is off-road, clearly signposted, and includes hills, flats, twists and turns. All finishers receive a bespoke Ultra:5K medal.

Format, distances and prizes

The event format requires competitors to run repeated 5 km laps on the hour, every hour, for a set number of hours. Race categories and distances are:

  • 50 km - 10 x 5 km laps
  • 25 km - 5 x 5 km laps
  • 15 km - 3 x 5 km laps

Winners are determined by the fastest cumulative time in each category. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall and the top three female finishers in each category. Personalised certificates for the top three in age-group categories are issued after the event.

Entry includes access to sports massage between laps and a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, energy gels and bars, and energy drinks.
