Ultra Sweaty Santa

Devils Elbow, United States • 12 Jul 2025

The Ultra Sweaty Santa is an annual endurance running event held in Devils Elbow, Missouri, celebrating Christmas in July with a 6-hour race on a shaded 6-mile crushed gravel loop alongside the Big Piney River near Old Route 66. Participants can run for 30 minutes, 3 hours, or the full 6 hours, with a 3-mile loop option available. The course features one fully stocked aid station and a water-only station, encouraging runners to bring hydration devices.

After the race, runners can cool off at a private beach. Prizes are awarded for best costume, overall top male and female finishers, and the "King and Queen of the hill" for the most climbs of a challenging hill on the course. The event is free, with donations accepted for Operation Christmas Child, and includes a HOKA shoe test drive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
