Ultra Sweaty Santa

Ultra Sweaty Santa is a July endurance event held in Devils Elbow, Missouri at 21050 Teardrop Road. The event is the 10th annual running and uses shaded crushed gravel loops along the Big Piney River near Old Route 66. Entry is free and donations are accepted to benefit Operation Christmas Child, including packed shoebox donations.

Participants may run for short or long periods within the event time frame, with options to take part for 30 minutes, three hours, or the full six hours. The course options include:

  • 6 mile crushed gravel loop alongside the Big Piney River
  • 3 mile loop option

On course there will be one fully stocked aid station and one water only station; participants are advised to bring a portable hydration device. A private beach behind the Elbow Inn is available for cooling off after running.

Prizes are awarded for best costume and for the overall male and female entrants with the most miles. For participants using the longer loop there is a special prize for the person who traverses the prominent hill at the turnaround the most times, named Queen and King of the hill.
