Frog Hill Half/10k/5k and Frog Hill Challenge

The event takes place the weekend of October 2 and 3, 2026 in Waynesville, Missouri. Races begin and finish in and around Waynesville Park at 216 Olive Street and use East Elementary at 1501 State Road F as a race start and packet pickup location. Packet pickup is available on Friday in Waynesville Park and on race morning in the FEMA shelter behind East Elementary.

Distances offered include:

  • 5k (Leapfrog 5k)

The Leapfrog 5k is a chip timed out and back course described as flat and fast and occurs in Waynesville Park. The 10k and Half Marathon run along the banks of the Roubidoux and pass Frog Rock, a local landmark, with views of fall colors in the Ozarks. Races finish at Waynesville Park, and shuttles are provided to return runners to the start area.

A Frog Hill Challenge awards an additional medal to participants who run the Leapfrog 5k and then complete either the 10k or Half Marathon. A Route 66 challenge option is available for a separate fee and includes multiple regional races and an embroidered vest. Children ages 6 to 18 may register free with the code ACTIVEKIDS; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after September 1, 2026. Bad Dawg Ultra in Waynesville, MO on August 15, 2026 offers 100 mile, 100 km, 50 mile, 50 km and 12 mile options on a 10 mile out and back gravel loop with aid stations, awards, and pacing rules for the longest distances.

A backyard ultra at Lions Club Park with repeated 4.167 mile laps on a dirt day loop and a paved night loop. The race continues until one runner completes one more lap than the rest, with awards and community fundraising.
