Ultimate OCR 3K Championship
The Ultimate OCR 3K Championship is an obstacle course race staged indoors for spectator viewing at the New Holland Arena. The course covers 3 km in 300 meter increments and includes more than 25 obstacles placed between running segments.
Competition is offered in male and female divisions across these classes: Elite, 13-15, 16-29, 30-49, 50+, 7-9, and 10-12. Elite and age-group classes are timed; an Open class is untimed. The event is also a USA OCR Team qualifying event and serves as a qualifier for the 3k 2026 USA OCR National Team.
A three-band system governs obstacle scoring. Athletes in Elite and age-group classes receive three wrist bands; officials observe each obstacle and remove bands when rules for obstacle completion are not met. Mandatory completion obstacles may be retried according to event rules; designated single-attempt obstacles allow one try. Athletes who lose bands face penalty loops placed after the final obstacle and before the finish line. Athletes who lose all three bands are not eligible for awards.
Chip timing is used and an official is posted at each obstacle. The Elite prize purse is $4,000. Top three finishers in Elite and each age category receive a large 5 inch medal; all finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
