Gretna Gritty 5k Mud Run

Lebanon, United States • 12 Sep 2026

Gretna Gritty Fall 2026 - 13th annual 5K mud run fundraiser

Gretna Gritty is a 5K obstacle course held at Gretna Glen Camp & Retreat Center on September 12, 2026. The course uses rugged, hilly terrain near Mt. Gretna and includes more than 20 obstacles such as mud, fire elements, tires, nets, and cold water. The event offers both competitive and non competitive waves on the same trail.

Competitive waves are chip timed and intended for participants aged 12 and older. Competitive entrants must complete obstacles or perform burpees as a penalty for missed obstacles. Competitive teams are organized in fixed teams of four and awards include top three overall male and female places plus age bracket recognition.

Non competitive waves are not timed and allow unlimited team sizes. The same trail and obstacle elements are used for both competitive and non competitive participants. All finishers receive medals and lunch. A Gretna Gritty T shirt is provided to participants who register before August 29, 2026.

A separate Nitty Gritty kids run provides a 1.3 mile obstacle experience for children aged 5 to 11. The kids run is not timed, allows multiple loops, and permits parents to run alongside while staff supervise course elements.

Organizers plan to raise funds for Gretna Glen Camp & Retreat Center. Proceeds excluding participation costs will support the center s ministry, God's Place Apart - Transforming Lives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
