Slopeside Slumber Party - Roundtop Mountain Resort
Slopeside Slumber Party is an evening timed event held at Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, PA. The main format gives runners three hours to complete as many laps as they choose on a roughly 1.5 mile loop that gains about 600 feet per circuit. The loop surface is approximately 0.5 miles of pavement and 1 mile of mowed grass, with a steep climb to the high point in York County and a very steep, lit descent back to the lodge area.
A separate kids race runs a fun, hilly course of about one mile and is open to children aged 12 and under; adult companions may join with a signed waiver. Each completed lap in the main event earns a pog as proof; top three finishers receive slammers. Headlamps are required for darker sections of the course. Trail shoes are recommended for the descent; hiking poles are optional. Headphones are allowed.
Event services include a fully stocked aid station, restroom facilities, swag for registrants, and food and brews available for purchase by card. Main event registration is $40 and limited to 150 runners; kids race registration is $5 and limited to 40 runners. Free tent camping for the weekend is available in the group camping area at Gifford Pinchot State Park with race registration.
