Slopeside Slumber Party

Slopeside Slumber Party takes place on August 15, 2026 at Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, PA and is organized by the York Road Runners Club. The event offers a main timed effort that runs for three hours and a separate kids race. Main event registration is $40 and limited to 150 runners. Kids race registration is $5 and limited to 40 runners; children aged 12 and under may participate and adult companions may join with a signed waiver.

The course is a roughly 1.5 mile loop with about 600 feet of elevation gain. The loop includes approximately 0.5 miles of pavement and 1 mile of mowed grass, with a sustained climb to the top of the slope and a very steep descent back to the lodge. The start and finish are based at the Lodge near the bottom of the Exhibition slope; the loop routes runners behind the lodge, across a parking area, up Minuteman and Lafayette slopes, across the top, then down Ramrod and Exhibition. The descent is lit in most places but participants must carry headlamps for darker sections. Trail shoes are recommended for the descent and hiking poles are optional.

Each completed loop earns a pog and top finishers receive slammers. The event provides swag, indoor restrooms, a staffed aid station, volunteers for support, and food and beer available for purchase by card. Free tent camping at Gifford Pinchot State Park is included with race registration. Event rules include visible front bibs, no course cutting, no bandits, no dogs, and no refunds or transfers. Completing this event and the RunPA Trail Jamboree earns the Pajama Jam Double prize without additional registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
