Farm Fresh 10K

Farm Fresh 5K, 10K & Kids Fun Run : Miller Plant Farm, York PA

This event features trail races held on Miller Plant Farm, a working Century Farm in the Leader Heights area of southern York County. Distances offered include:

• 5K
• 10K
• 0.5 mile Kids Fun Run

The courses use a mix of paved and stone surfaces, grassy farm lanes and wooded trails. The new 10K route passes under a low-clearance bridge and crosses a muddy creek twice. The Kids Fun Run starts on asphalt, includes a short incline past barns and equipment buildings, continues onto dirt farm road and crushed stone, and finishes across the farm access road at the retail garden center. Children in the kids run are ages 9 and under; runners may be separated into heats by age and number of participants. Parents are not permitted to run with their children; volunteers will be stationed along the marked course.

Event guidelines note that strollers and pets are not permitted on the race courses, earphone use is discouraged, and participants should not use cell phones or text while running or walking. Medical support will be available at the start/finish area during the event. Online registration is available until July 30, and paper registration forms will be accepted in-store until race morning. Overall male and female winners and top age-group finishers will receive prizes. All 5K and 10K participants receive a Miller Plant Farm produce sampler.

A local nonprofit fund established in early 2019 supports cancer patients. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
