Bunker Hill Trail Races

Bunker Hill Trail Races

The event takes place in the Bunker Hill area of Gunpowder Falls State Park on mostly single-track trails through woods near Hereford. The course uses a loop that measures about 4 miles; the north river trail remains overgrown so the route stays on the 4-mile loop and there is no river crossing this year. Runners may complete one loop for 4 miles or repeat the loop for 8 miles.

Distances

  • 4 miles one loop
  • 8 miles two loops

Registration is available race morning only. The venue is at 17528 Bunker Hill Rd, Parkton, Maryland; reach the parking lot by driving to the corner of York and Bunker Hill Roads just north of Hereford High School and continuing on Bunker Hill Rd to the lot at the end. The road becomes gravel and rocky toward the end, which may affect vehicle access.

Information provided notes mostly single-track trail conditions and the decision to avoid the overgrown north river trail portion, resulting in the looped course format and the absence of a river crossing for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
