Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run
The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run is a chip timed trail race held on permanently preserved South Branch Farms in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania. The event offers two distances and uses off road trails that pass through farmland, woods, pastures, and streams. The course includes varied terrain and elevation, one safe road crossing, creek crossings near the finish, and climbs that include a route over the historic Howard Tunnel Rail Trail. Wildlife commonly seen on the course includes deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes, and various birds and insects.
Packet pick up is available at Fleet Feet York, 1511 Mount Rose Avenue, on the Thursday and Friday before race day from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Race day registration begins on site in the morning. Early registration through August 30 is priced at $35 with an optional commemorative shirt for an additional $8. Late registration after August 30 increases to $40 and does not include a shirt option.
Race rules note a preference for a brisk pace and request that walkers or hikers choose the 5K. The property is private and not open for pre race use. No animals or strollers are permitted on the course. Every finisher receives a collectible Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run patch and awards are given to top overall finishers and top three in multiple age groups.
