TutHell 50K : Sioux Falls, SD
TutHell 50K is a 50 kilometer ultramarathon held at 3500 S Cliff Ave in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The course is a 0.31 mile loop on and around Tut Hill that entrants complete 100 times. Each loop includes roughly 90 feet of elevation gain and 90 feet of elevation loss. The route will be well marked and a route map is provided.
Entry is by essay only. The essay submission window for the 2026 event runs from December 1, 2025 through April 22, 2026. Selected applicants receive an invitation to register; the general registration page on Ultrasignup is not usable without that invitation. Registration closes April 27, 2026.
There is no formal registration fee. Entrants pledge a free will donation that will be pooled in a charitable fund and distributed to the winning male and female champions' charities after the race. The 2026 fundraising goal is $10,000 total, with $5,000 per charity. Donations to the charitable fund will be tax deductible.
Support and logistics: trekking poles are allowed, teams are not permitted, and all entrants are asked to remain until the last runner drops or misses the 12 hour cutoff. A fully stocked aid station will be located at the top of the hill by the bathrooms and storm shelter. Runners are encouraged to bring their own fueling and one support person who may access snacks. Official chip timing and live tracking are provided through UltraSignup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
