Sioux Falls, United States • 2 May 2026

Event Format

The TutHell 50K is a running event on May 2, 2026, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The course consists of performing a 0.31-mile loop up and down Tut Hill 100 times. Each loop has roughly 90 feet of elevation gain and loss.

Registration Process

Registration is handled through an essay submission format. There is no general registration. Potential participants must submit an essay on the race website explaining why they want to run. The essay window is from December 1, 2025, through April 22, 2026. The TutHell 50K Committee reviews essays, and selected runners receive a private link to register.

There is no traditional registration fee. Instead, entrants pledge a donation to a pooled charitable fund. These funds will be split between the charities chosen by the male and female champions after the race. The fundraising goal for the 2026 event is $10,000.

Event Details

The route will be well-marked. Trekking poles are allowed, but teams are not permitted. There is a 12-hour cutoff time. A fully stocked aid station will be located at the top of the hill near the bathrooms.

All entrants are asked to stay until the last runner has either finished or missed the cutoff to support the community. Runners are encouraged to bring their own race fueling and are asked to bring one support person, who will have access to snacks.

The event features official chip timing and live tracking through UltraSignup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
