TutHell 50K - May 2, 2026
TutHell 50K in Sioux Falls, SD, is run on a short loop course on Tut Hill. Competitors complete a 0.31 mile loop 100 times, with roughly 90 feet of elevation gain and 90 feet of elevation loss per lap. The route is marked and trekking poles are allowed. No teams are permitted.
Entry to the event is by essay selection. The essay submission window for 2026 runs from December 1, 2025 through April 22, 2026. Entrants who are selected receive an invitation to register; open registration on Ultrasignup does not work without that invitation. Registration closes April 27, 2026.
Instead of a fixed entry fee, registration operates as a free will donation format. Pledges and donations are collected through the event’s fiscal sponsor, Falls Area Singletrack, and funds will be split between the charities chosen by the male and female champions after the race. The stated fundraising goal for 2026 is $10,000, divided as $5,000 per charity. Runners are asked to honor their pledges before race day.
A fully stocked aid station will be located at the top of the hill by the bathrooms and storm shelter. Runners are encouraged to bring their own race fueling and one support person who will have access to snacks. All entrants are asked to remain until the last runner has either dropped out or missed the 12 hour cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
