The Blood Run - Lennox, SD

The Blood Run is a set of timed running events held on a 1.5 mile loop around an organic vegetable farm just south of Lennox, SD. Multiple race durations are offered across the weekend.

  • 36 Hour
  • 24hrs
  • 24 Hour 4 Person Relay
  • 12hrs
  • 6hrs
  • 3hrs

The loop follows a border around vegetable fields and consists mainly of well traveled dirt and some pasture where miniature animals reside. There is not much elevation gain or loss. Exact trail routing may vary depending on summer rainfall.

Event facilities include camping spots for runners and crews and one fully stocked aid station that sits on the loop. The aid station includes flush toilets. Crews may access runners from campsites or from vehicles and may remain on the farm during the event.

The event name references the host farm, The Good Earth, and a nearby monument called Blood Run. The timed format was developed with the farm setting and outdoor work in mind. Races of different durations are scheduled so they conclude at the same time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
