Crazy Bear Ultra
The Crazy Bear Ultra is a trail running event held on July 18, 2026, at Great Bear near Sioux Falls, SD. The event offers multiple race distances run on a repeating loop course.

The course uses a roughly 10 km loop that incorporates new FAST singletrack and original Great Bear trails. Each loop has about 1200 ft of elevation gain. Races consist of the number of loops required to reach each distance (for example 2, 3, or 5 loops).
Start and finish are located near the Bear Den Chalet by the ski hill. The aid station and a tarp location for drop bags are at the start/finish area, and runners can access the aid station at the end of each loop. Drop bags are optional given frequent aid station access; bags must be labeled and are left at the runner's own risk.
Packet pickup details and exact packet pickup times are to be announced. There will be a brief pre race announcement at the start line before each race; runners must check in at packet pickup on race day before those announcements begin.
