True Grit Barossa

True Grit will run an obstacle course event in the Barossa region. The course is a military-inspired obstacle layout placed on natural terrain at Barossa Helicopters, 261 Hoffnungsthal Rd, Lyndoch SA. Spectator entry is free and parking is available for a fee.

Participants can choose between the following distances:

  • 10 km Elite for competitors aged 16 and over, with timed results and podium prizes.
  • 10 km for participants aged 16 and over.
  • 5 km for participants aged 12 and over.

Waves start regularly throughout the day to manage flow. The Elite category must attempt every obstacle, cannot receive help from other participants, and incurs a 20 burpee penalty for each failed obstacle; finish times for top finishers are recorded.

The event includes multiple on course obstacles designed for this location, water provision during the event, access to medical treatment, and a finisher t-shirt and electrolyte drink on completion. On-site unpowered camping is offered with basic toilets; cooking facilities are not provided and pets are not permitted in the campground. Team entries are possible with larger groups eligible for team discounts. Volunteers may camp for free with refund details provided by the organisers.
