The Trifarm Winter 10k is the final round of a four-event seasonal trail run series. The course is more than 95% off road, using public footpaths and bridleways, and the winter route runs predominately clockwise to head away from the river and avoid flood plains. The race starts and finishes at the far end of the Trifarm car-park. A TRA permit number is listed as 6807 (TBC). Non-TRA and non-UKA entrants pay a £2 levy. Course record times for 2024 are 01:02:09 (female) and 00:51:52 (male).
Logistics and race procedures
The event is held at Trifarm, Church Road, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex CM3 3EJ. Plenty of parking is available on site. Registration and number collection take place in or near the car-park, with numbers available from 09:30. There is an option for discounted pre-run swim tickets. Bottled water is available at registration and there is a tap by the bicycle racks for topping up bottles before the run and at the finish. There are no water stations or marshals on course; a tail jogger will sweep the route and a finish line timer will be used. Race numbers must be worn on the front, unfolded, and manual timing may be used. Results and prizes will be posted to the organiser’s website; round prizes and a points leaderboard use a MotoGP-style scoring system.
