Easter Eggstravaganza Day 2

ESSEX TRAIL EVENTS present a trail race that is day 2 of a four-day Easter Eggstravaganza series organised with Mid Essex Casuals, Little Baddow Ridge Runners and Springfield Striders. The event returns to a familiar area and will start from Felsted using the usual car park opposite the Chequers; exact venue and Race HQ will be declared before the day.

These are self-navigation trail races. Participants receive a written route description on the day; there are no course markings, no marshals and no GPX files. The races are not mass start; competitors will be timed out and back in at the finish. The event will be run under UK Athletics rules and a permit has been applied for. Dogs are not allowed.

Entry fees are listed as £9 for affiliated runners and £11 for unaffiliated runners, plus a booking fee. The entry fee includes a £4 voucher to use at a venue to be confirmed. No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled. Transfers are not allowed after 28 March 2026. Ample parking is available at the venue; participants are asked to park considerately if not using the car park. Results will be posted on www.essextrailevents.com.

A roughly 42 mile trail ultra along the historic St Peters Way from Chipping Ongar to the ancient chapel at Bradwell on Sea. The route uses footpaths and bridleways, has four staffed checkpoints and strict compulsory kit requirements.

A one lap, off road 10k at Hadleigh Country Park featuring hilly, muddy trails and kissing gates. The event includes an elite wave, route marshals, a bespoke medal and free race photographs.

The Mersea Mix is a 7-mile self-navigation trail race on Mersea Island. Runners follow a written description on an unmarked course, starting at individual times. Entry includes a voucher for the venue's bar.
