Format, rules and facilities

The race uses a loop of 4.167 miles. Each loop starts exactly one hour after the previous loop. Runners receive 3, 2, and 1 minute warnings and must be in the starting corral at the bell; late starts are not allowed. Each loop must be completed within an hour to be counted, including the final lap. Competitors may not leave the course during a loop except to use restrooms. No personal aid is allowed during a loop; common aid stations are provided, with one at HQ. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are not permitted.

Supporters are not allowed in the corral and phone calls to or from runners on course are restricted to emergencies. There will be medics on site, showers and toilets, event photographers with free downloads after the event, and a pop-up kitchen for supporter food prep. Parking at HQ costs £5 and includes entry into a separate free event of choice. Timing will be available, though timing of loops is listed as optional.
