Trails 4 Tails - Codorus State Park, Hanover PA

Trails 4 Tails is a trail running event at Codorus State Park in Hanover, PA on September 19, 2026. The event offers multiple distance options:

• 40 Mile Ultra - seven loops of 5.72 miles, approximately 40 miles, ~4,200 ft gain.
• 40 Mile Relay - seven loops of 5.72 miles, teams may include up to seven runners.
• 25K+ - three loops of 5.72 miles, approximately 17.2 miles, ~1,800 ft gain.

The course mixes terrain including about a mile of pavement, open fields, winding singletrack, and a lakeshore stretch when conditions allow. Runners pass through the Chestnut Orchard, the site of Rummel Farm, and the historic Mary Ann Furnace area. Odd years run the course clockwise and even years run it counterclockwise.

All distances start and finish at Pavilion #1, where a fully stocked aid station and restroom facilities are available. The aid station provides Tailwind, Coke, ginger ale, bacon, pierogies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, and a variety of sweet and salty snacks.

Cutoffs and entry details vary by distance: the 40 mile events use an 11 hour overall cutoff and a hard aid station cutoff that determines final loop departures; the 25K has a 7.5 hour cutoff. Participants who register by August 1 receive an official race shirt. Registration closes September 13 at 11:59 PM ET.
