Trails 4 Tails is a trail running event at Codorus State Park in Hanover, PA. The event offers these distances:

Course and format

The course mixes terrain, including about a mile of pavement, open fields, winding singletrack, and, when conditions allow, a stretch along the lake shoreline. Runners pass the Chestnut Orchard, the site of Rummel Farm, and the historic Mary Ann Furnace area. The event alternates direction by year: odd years run clockwise and even years run counterclockwise.

Facilities and race details

The start and finish are at Pavilion #1, where a fully stocked aid station and restrooms are available. The aid station includes Tailwind, Coke, ginger ale, bacon, pierogies, quesadillas, grilled cheese, pickles, and a variety of sweet and salty snacks. The 40-mile events and the relay have an 11-hour overall cutoff; the 25K has a 7.5-hour cutoff. Camping is available at Codorus State Park near the start/finish. Hanover is about 10 minutes away and York about 25 minutes away. The event includes a race-day picnic and finisher awards for the 25K and 40M fields; early registrants by August 1 receive an official race shirt. Registration closes September 13.
