Trailblazer Race 2026, Mountain View CA

The Trailblazer Race returns on September 27, 2026 as the 32nd annual community running and walking event in Mountain View. Distances offered include:

• 10K race
• 5K race
• 3 mile walk
• 1 mile kids fun run

Organizers describe the 10K and 5K as scenic, fast and flat courses. Routes use Stevens Creek Trail and Shoreline Park, with the course starting and ending on Stevens Creek Trail and passing views of wildlife, salt ponds and surrounding mountains. The 3 mile walk follows Stevens Creek Trail south to the Evelyn Avenue bridge and back; the walk is shaded by trees.

All paid participants receive a custom event T shirt, a participation medal, refreshments and a prize drawing ticket. 5K and 10K entrants receive official chipped timing, a downloadable finisher certificate and finish line photos. Early packet pickup is offered to those registered by September 23, 2026; location and times are to be confirmed. No refunds.

Free kids activities are available for toddlers through age 10; children who run receive a prize or souvenir. A waiver is required for children in the 1 mile fun run and parents must remain with their children during on site activities.

Awards include overall male and female winners for 10K and 5K and medals three deep in age divisions. Dogs are prohibited in Shoreline Park and Don Edwards wildlife refuge areas. Strollers are allowed on the asphalt courses if runners stay with their pace group; double wide strollers are not recommended.

Proceeds benefit Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on extending the Stevens Creek Trail and wildlife corridor.
