Trail Sisters Women's Half Marathon

Trail Sisters hosts a women's trail running event in Buena Vista, Colorado each September. The event offers off road distances through the Rocky Mountains near the Arkansas River and the Collegiate Peaks.

Available race distances include:

  • 13.1 miles Half Marathon
  • 10k trail course

The courses wind through sagebrush and ponderosa pine forest and provide views of the Collegiate Peaks. The terrain includes twists and turns typical of mountain trails and takes place in the valley along the Arkansas River.

Trail Sisters organizes the event with a mission to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running and hiking through inspiration, education and empowerment. The race is presented as part of that ongoing effort and is offered to the Trail Sisters and Buena Vista communities.

Results and photo galleries are maintained for past editions, and media from previous years is available for reference. The event has included a post race gathering as part of the same weekend program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
