Trail Half Marathon Wales

Trail Half Marathon Wales takes place on Saturday 14 November 2026 at Margam Country Park and Forest. The event uses forest paths and woodland trails with rolling terrain and fully marked routes using running arrows and flags. The surface is described as smooth and non technical.

Distances offered:

  • Half marathon 21.1 km, 750 m ascent
  • 10k 10.2 km, 420 m ascent

Checkpoints and waterpoints are provided along each route, with three points on the half marathon and two on the 10k. Provisional route maps and GPS files are made available for participants.

Car parking is at the East gate of Margam Park and is included in the entry fee. The car park opens at 07:15. Entry fees are listed as £38 for the half marathon and £34 for the 10k.

Mandatory kit guidance asks participants to bring a bottle or plastic cup for checkpoints, a phone with the race HQ number on it, a waterproof top, suitable headwear, and a warm long sleeve base layer which may be compulsory in severe weather. Advisory items include energy gels or bars, electrolyte tablets, and running leggings.

What the entry fee includes: car parking at the event centre, a finishers medal, free race photographs to download, event safety and first aid cover, electronic timing, marked route and land permits, checkpoints, and a GPS file of the route.
