Trail Half Marathon Wales takes place on Saturday 14th November 2026 at Margam Country Park and Forest. The event includes a half marathon and a 10k run on forest and woodland trails. Provisional route maps and GPS files are provided by the organiser.

The routes are fully marked with running arrows and flags. Surfaces are described as smooth, non-technical forest paths and woodland trails. The half marathon has three checkpoints and the 10k has two checkpoints. Runners should bring a bottle or plastic cup because there are no cups at checkpoints.

Participants are required to carry specified safety kit including a waterproof top, suitable headwear, and a warm long sleeve base layer which may be compulsory in adverse weather. A phone with the race HQ number is also requested for safety. Advisory items include energy gels or bars, electrolyte tabs, and running leggings.

Car parking at the East Gate of Margam Park is included in the entry fee. Entry fees are listed as £38 for the half marathon and £34 for the 10k. Entries include a finishers medal, free downloadable race photographs, electronic timing, event safety and first aid cover, checkpoints, marked route and land permits, and access to the GPS file of the route. A themed 7 hour Time Challenge at Dare Valley Country Park celebrating 50 years of Rocky, with distances from 3 km up to ultra, themed medals, goody bags and aid stations on well maintained park paths.

Phoenix Running South Wales stages the Manta Ray Run at Parc Taf Bargoed, Trelewis. Participants run repeated 5.3 km laps within a seven hour time limit and receive a bespoke finisher medal unless they choose a no medal option.

A 40 mile coastal ultra on 6 June 2026 from Porthcawl to Lavernock Point along the Wales Coast Path, featuring beaches, cliffs and Ogmore Castle, with three staffed checkpoints and no formal time limit.

Trail races in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) offering Marathon and Half Marathon distances plus bergen versions with a 45 lb pack. Routes run on mountain trails with substantial ascent and finishers receive medals and mugs of tea.
