Event overview
The Trail Demon 5k & 10k takes place on April 4, 2026 at Dirt Farm Brewing in Bluemont, VA. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual race option. Points from the race count toward the organizer’s year-long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and the Sippin Series. Registered runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, chip timing, and a glass of beer from Dirt Farm Brewery.
Distances and course
- 5k - one loop of the trail behind the brewery
- 10k - two loops of the same trail
The course is a forest trail with technical sections that include tree roots and rocks and has elevation changes. The 10k course has five water stations at about mile markers 0.6, 1.7, 3.1, 3.9, and 5. The 5k course has two water stations at about mile markers 0.8 and 1.9. Gatorade will be available at some stations.
Logistics, awards and charity
Packet pickup is available at the event. Race day registration is available but t-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants. Parking is at Dirt Farm Brewing, 18701 Foggy Bottom Rd, Bluemont, VA; a GPS pin is provided by the organizer. Live results will be posted and final results with series points are published the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd in standard age groups; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
