31st Todmorden Harriers Mini Mountain Marathon

The 2026 edition of the Todmorden Harriers Mini Mountain Marathon marks the 31st year of this event. Taking place on Sunday 15th March, the race starts and finishes at the Crooked Billet in Worsthorne. This event is organized as a 3-hour score competition, where participants navigate across rough moorland terrain.

Participants have the option to compete solo or in pairs. For those running in pairs, each individual must complete their own entry. Registration is open until the late evening of March 11th. Due to the nature of the terrain and the potential for adverse weather conditions, all runners are required to carry full FRA kit. This mandatory equipment includes:

  • Waterproof top and waterproof bottoms
  • Hat and gloves
  • Compass and whistle
  • Emergency food

The event base at the local pub does not provide bag storage facilities for participants. Following the conclusion of the 3-hour limit, pie and peas are served inside the venue for those who have pre-ordered. The race area consists of open moorland, requiring navigation skills to locate checkpoints within the allotted timeframe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
