Three Sisters Ultra Festival

The Three Sisters Ultra Festival is the eleventh running of a timed trail event held in the Maryville College Woods near Maryville, Tennessee. The festival offers timed distance formats of 24 hours, 12 hours, and 6 hours, plus relay team entries. The 6 and 12 hour options include a separate night choice for running after dark.

The course is a 2-mile loop that starts and ends at the McArthur Pavilion. Runners have access to an aid station on every loop and may set up a personal aid area beneath the pavilion or in the surrounding yard. A warm fireplace is available at the pavilion. Chip timing is used; bibs should be worn on the front of the body so the timing readers can register laps. Aid station access is limited to registered runners and pacers; pacers pick up bibs at packet pickup.

Packet pickup takes place the evening before the event at McArthur Pavilion and again on race morning. The college does not allow overnight camping the night before. Registration remains open into early June, but apparel and other swag are ordered by May 25 so items are not guaranteed for later registrants. The festival also includes live music and other activities such as a nine-hole disc golf opportunity during the event.

A Double Ultra Festival option pairs this 24 hour event with another 24 hour event so medals can be combined in a custom frame; athletes must register for both 24 hour races to receive both medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
