The Three Sisters Ultra Festival is a timed trail event held in the Maryville College Woods. The eleventh running offers 24-hour, 12-hour, and 6-hour timed options, with relays available. The 6-hour and 12-hour options include a day or night choice. The course is a 2-mile loop that starts and ends at the McArthur Pavilion. Aid access is available on every loop and participants may set up a personal aid area under the pavilion or in the adjacent yard.

Distance targets on the looped course:

  • 50K - 16 loops
  • 100K - 31 loops
  • 100 Miles - 50 loops

The festival includes live music and other on-site activities.

Logistics and event procedures

Packet pickup is the evening before the race at McArthur Pavilion (Friday) and again on race morning; mailed items are not available, but someone else may collect a packet. Organizers encourage Friday pickup and allow setting up popup canopies or personal aid stations Friday night; overnight camping on campus is not permitted. Registration into early June is available, but shirts and other swag are not guaranteed for registrations after May 25 (midnight) due to ordering deadlines.

Aid station access is limited to runners and pacers; pacers must pick up and wear a pacer bib. The event uses chip timing; bibs should be worn on the front of the body so laps are recorded correctly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
