Three Sisters Ultra Festival

The eleventh running of the Three Sisters Ultra Festival is a timed trail event in the Maryville College Woods in Maryville, TN. It offers 24 hour, 12 hour, and 6 hour timed races together with relay options. The 6 hour and 12 hour races have a day or night option; entrants select day or night for those distances.

The course is a 2 mile loop that starts and ends at the McArthur Pavilion on the edge of the woods. Aid is available on every loop and participants may set up a personal aid area under the pavilion or in the surrounding yard. A fireplace is located in the pavilion area. The festival includes live music and additional activities such as a quick nine holes of disc golf.

Loop totals are commonly used to mark standard distances:

  • 16 loops = 50K
  • 31 loops = 100K
  • 50 loops = 100 miles even though the event is a 24 hour race

Packet pickup takes place the evening before the race at McArthur Pavilion from 5:00 to 7:00pm and also after 6:00am on race day. Items will not be mailed; someone else may pick up a participant's packet if needed. Registration closes Saturday June 6 at 11:59PM ET. After May 25 at midnight shirts and other swag are not guaranteed.

The event uses chip timing. Bibs must be worn on the front of the person without folding the chip. Access to aid station amenities is limited to runners and pacers; pacers should wear a pacer bib picked up at packet pickup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
