Entry fees listed for adult distances are $30 (early price shown, with a previous price of $35 crossed out), student entries are $22, and the kids trail mile is $9. Registration fees are nonrefundable and bib transfers are not allowed. A Knoxville Track Club member discount is accepted.
Course, safety and policies
Both the 7 mile and 4 mile routes begin with a short paved section before entering park trails on Sharp's Ridge. Trails are described as moderately technical and flowing, with gradual climbs and descents. The kids mile is roughly one mile and is entirely on trail, starting and finishing at the base of the trailhead; race staging is at the academy.
Race rules prohibit headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades and pets on course. Aid and water stations will have very small cups, so runners are encouraged to carry their own water. Safety policies state runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the adult races and a minimum pace of 18:00 per mile will be enforced with a sweeper.
