The WitchWood Trail Run
The WitchWood Trail Run is an endurance event located at Everton Scout Camp in Inverkip, Scotland. The event takes place in an area historically known as a center for witch trials between 1640 and 1690. Participants navigate a course that combines Scottish forest trails, fields, and technical sections with rolling hills.
The event follows a loop format where participants can complete as many laps as they choose within a 24-hour period. The course consists of a 5.9 km (3.7 miles) loop with 185m of elevation gain per lap. Runners have the flexibility to start, stop, and rest at any time during the duration of the event.

The event basecamp is situated on a large grass area at the start and finish line. Facilities include on-site toilets, showers, kitchen access, and outside mains water. On-site accommodation options include indoor beds and a designated camping area where runners and supporters can pitch tents.
The event features a communal firepit, local food suppliers, and live music. All participants receive a timing chip, bib number, and a hand-crafted finisher medal featuring mystical imagery.
