The Viper 5 mile trail run (Spring edition)

TRA Permit 6277. The event is a trail run over a distance of 5 mile with a total entry limit of 50 places. Entry is restricted to over 18s and places are offered on a first come first served basis. Non TRA or EA members pay a £2 levy.

Parking is available opposite the pub with limited space. A free public car park in Mill Green is about a 10 minute downhill walk away. Bike racking is available at the pub. Organisers encourage car sharing where possible.

The course for this edition uses the same terrain as previous years but will be run in the reverse direction. The route will be provided to entrants as a narrative, a GPX file and a Strava link prior to the event; downloading the narrative in advance is advisable. The event is self sufficient so participants should carry water and any personal provisions such as a phone, snacks, a torch for low light, high visibility clothing or waterproofs if weather is unseasonable. A tail runner will follow the field to assist with navigation if required.

At the finish runners hand their race number in at the bar and receive a choice of a pint, a glass of wine, a soft drink or a hot drink. The venue offers a food menu and may become busy for larger groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
