Circuit du Sore Legs
Circuit du Sore Legs is a track running event organised by Zig Zag Running at Wodson Park Sports Centre in Ware, Hertfordshire. The event is in its sixth year and offers multiple distance options on a 400 metre athletics track.
Distances (based on lane 1)
- 5k = 12.5 laps
- 10k = 25 laps
- Half marathon = 52.75 laps
- Full marathon = 105.5 laps
- 50k ultra = 125 laps
- 6 hour challenge = unlimited laps
The event uses lap counting as the official measure; the distance recorded on a wrist GPS may vary if a runner uses outer lanes. Facilities and services listed for the event include chip timing, a bespoke medal, race photos, free parking, aid stations around the course, toilets and changing rooms close to the track, and tea, coffee and cake provided for runners. The event is limited to 100 entrants and holds an ARC licence. The course is traffic free and clearly marked so there is no chance of getting lost. It is a cupless event so runners should bring their own cup or bottle for refilling.
Runners are asked to arrive in time to collect their race number and receive a race briefing. Overtaking is on the right and walkers are requested to use the outer lanes so that all participants can move safely around the track. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
