The Timp Trail Marathon and Half

The Timp Trail Marathon and Half takes place in Orem, UT, and uses the original marathon and half course with start and finish at Timpanogos Park. This is the 15th running of the event. Registration closes Fri, May 15 at 11:59 PM MT. Late registrants are not guaranteed a race shirt.

The course description is the same for both distances. The marathon route has 5,883 feet of elevation gain. The surface is about 99.9% mountain trail and fire break roads, with only a few asphalt crossings at lower elevations. Runners may encounter snow, rain, mud, stream crossings, and rocky trail sections. Some ascent and descent sections are technical and scenic. There will not be porta-johns, mile markers, spectators, or volunteers to show direction; the course should be treated like an ultra-distance race. Participants should know the course, run with someone who knows it, or be able to follow the course description or GPX course maps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
