The Timp Trail Marathon and Half
The event takes place May 15, 2027 in Orem, UT, with the start and finish at Timpanogos Park. Two distances are offered:
- Marathon 26.63 miles
- Half Marathon
The marathon course has 5,883 feet of elevation gain and is composed of about 99.9% mountain trail and fire break roads. Only a few asphalt crossings occur at lower elevations. Runners may encounter snow, rain, mud, stream crossings, and rocky terrain. Sections of ascent and descent include technical trail.

- #1 Starting Line
- #2 Cliff Edge : 5.34 miles
- #3 Dry Canyon Trailhead : 7.7 miles
- #4 Battle Creek Trailhead : 10.25 miles
- #5 Grove Creek Trailhead : 11.39 miles
- #6 Battle Creek Trailhead : 18.15 miles (drop bag available; returned to start after last runner clears)
- #7 Dry Canyon Trailhead : 20.61 miles
- #8 Cliff Edge : 25.29 miles
- #9 Finish : 26.63 miles
Cutoff requirements for the marathon: exit Grove Creek aid station by 10:00 AM, exit Battle Creek by 12:20 PM, and exit Dry Canyon by 1:00 PM. Course markings use pink flagging to show the way and combined pink and blue to indicate turns. The course description is the same for both distances and runners are advised to know the route or use GPX maps. Registration closes Fri, May 14 at 11:59 PM MT.
