The Timp Trail Marathon and Half
The Timp Trail Marathon and Half is a trail running event in Orem, UT that starts and finishes at Timpanogos Park. The event offers two distances:
- Marathon - 26.63 miles
- Half Marathon - trail half marathon
The marathon course has 5,883 feet of elevation gain and is composed of 99.9% mountain trail and fire break roads. Runners should expect a few asphalt crossings at lower elevations and sections of technical ascent and descent. Seasonal conditions may include snow, rain, mud, stream crossings, and rocky terrain. The course is flagged with pink and blue tape; pink indicates the direction and combined pink and blue marks a turn. Course details and GPX maps are available and will be reviewed at the race start 15 minutes prior to the run.
Aid stations are provided at multiple points along the marathon route with drop bag service available at the Battle Creek Trailhead. The drop area contents will be returned to the starting area after the last runner clears that aid station. Specific cutoff requirements apply at several aid stations for continued participation. Registration closes the evening before the event and late registrants may not be guaranteed a race shirt. There will not be porta-johns, mile markers, or volunteers positioned to guide runners on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
