The Spooky Sprint

The Spooky Sprint is an event in a Halloween race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye. Entrants choose their target distance and must complete it within a 7 hour time limit. The organiser states the course is offroad, contained within the manor grounds, and described as very tough.

Distances offered:

• 5k (2 laps)
• 10k
• Half Marathon
• Marathon
• Ultra

Each lap measures 2.5 km. The route includes a hill on every lap and a series of up and downs that pass through two vineyards. The event is open to walkers and runners. Race bibs are collected at registration on the day; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email, which may take a day or two to arrive.

Medals are themed around Halloween motifs and may be supplied in green or orange. Race and virtual medals are the same type, but availability of particular colours or medal types can be limited. Paid virtual entrants may incur additional postage costs for international delivery. A free virtual participation option is available; free participants are recorded on the results list but do not receive a medal.

Entry fees listed by the organiser are: Race £29.00, Virtual UK £25.00, Virtual Overseas £39.00. All entry fees are non refundable. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. A charity entry option is offered at £10.00 subject to fundraising conditions. Personal cancellation insurance and a deferral option for an additional fee are available through the organiser.
