The Spooky Sprint

The Spooky Sprint is part of a Halloween race series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye. Entrants select a target distance and must complete it within a seven hour time limit. Each lap of the course measures 2.5 km.

Distances available:

  • 5k (2 laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

The course is offroad and lies entirely within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. The route includes a repeated hill on every lap and a series of ascents and descents through two vineyards. The organisers describe the terrain as very tough. The event is open to walkers and runners. All entrants must be aged 18 or over.

Entry options include on-site race entries and virtual entries that can be completed anywhere with date flexibility. Paid virtual entrants receive the same style of medal as on-site finishers; virtual bibs are emailed after entry and may take a day or two to arrive. A free virtual participation route is available via the organiser's Strava club but does not include a medal.

Entry fees are non refundable. A charity entry option is offered at a reduced fee in exchange for a fundraising commitment and associated conditions. Personal cancellation insurance and a deferral option for a fee are available through the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
