The Spooky Sprint

The Spooky Sprint is a Halloween-themed running event. It is part of a Halloween series of events. Participants can choose their target distance to run or walk within a 7-hour time limit.

The available distances are:

  • 5k (2 laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

The physical event takes place at Pengethley Manor in Ross-on-Wye. The course is off-road, located entirely within the manor grounds. It includes a hill and a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. Each lap is 2.5 km.

A virtual participation option is also available. Virtual runners can complete their chosen distance anywhere in the world at a time that suits them. Paid virtual entrants receive a medal, while a free option exists through a Strava club where participants are listed in the results but do not receive a medal.

Participants receive a unique, themed medal. Medals may be provided in either green or orange, subject to availability. The event is open to both walkers and runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
