The Slothful Run

Event details

The Slothful Run takes place at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf) on 12 January 2026. The course is offroad and contained within the manor grounds. Each lap is 2.5k; the 5k consists of two laps. The route includes a hill on every lap and a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. Participants have a maximum time limit of seven hours to complete their chosen distance. The organiser’s terms require entrants to be aged 18 or over.

Entry, virtual option and services

Standard race entry fee is £29.00. Virtual entry fees are £25.00 (UK) and £39.00 (international); virtual entries must cover a minimum distance of 5k and can be completed any day during January. Paid entries receive a medal; virtual entries can receive a medal after verification and additional postage where applicable. Free entries via the organiser’s Strava club are recorded on results lists but do not include a medal. Entry fees are non-refundable. There is an optional personal cancellation insurance policy available through Event Protect Limited. Deferred entry is possible up to four weeks before the event for a £15 fee.

On-site provisions and requirements

Facilities listed for the event include free parking, tea and coffee, sandwiches and soup, and toilets. Race bibs are collected at registration; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email.
