Course, services and rules

The 1 Mile uses a paved route consisting of two laps around the back soccer field. The 5K, 10K and 50K start on the soccer loop, follow the Spencer Mountain loop trails and return. The trails are mountain bike trails and are rated 4 out of 10 for difficulty. Flagging will use yellow ribbon and yellow arrows. Trekking poles are allowed and their use is recommended for the trail sections.

An aid station will be stocked with basic food items (for example pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, bacon), water, Tailwind and various sodas, plus first aid supplies. Packet pickup is available the day before the event and bib pickup is available on race day. The race has a 10-hour cutoff. Medals are one-of-a-kind handmade pottery by BlueGill Pottery. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course unless a special exception is made. Entry fees are non-refundable if the event is canceled.
