The 5K, 10K and 50K share the soccer loop and the Spencer Mountain loop trails.

Packet pickup is available the day before and there is morning bib pickup on race day. Trekking poles are allowed and recommended for trail sections. The aid station will offer basic food items such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit and bacon, plus water, Tailwind and a variety of sodas, and basic first aid supplies. The event has a 10 hour cutoff. Finishers receive handmade pottery medals from BlueGill Pottery; each medal is unique.

The race is held in memory of the organizer's parents. Proceeds support research into brain deterioration and learning disabilities. Event rules note no dogs or strollers on course except by special exception, that runners and walkers must finish by the time limit, that entry fees are non refundable if the event is canceled, and that unregistered participants are not allowed.
