The Naturalist Trail Race in Franklin, NC, part of Outdoor 76’s Fall Celebration, offers 25K and 50K trail events along the Bartram Trail from Wallace Branch to Wayah Bald. The 25K features over 5,500 feet of climbing; the 50K more than 8,500 feet, making it a grueling ascent and descent through rugged Southeast terrain. Runners traverse historic Bartram Trail terrain to Wayah Bald, with aid stations stocked with water, Gatorade, fruit and energy bars, and participants are advised to carry water on the climb. The day culminates in a post-race party at Outdoor 76 with live music, 24 draft craft beers, food trucks and awards, welcoming up to 150 entrants.
