Georgia Sky to Summit is a two day trail race event in Sky Valley, Georgia, featuring mountain courses that pass waterfalls, reach Rabun Bald (the second highest point in Georgia), and move through trails noted for fall foliage and multi-state views.

Distances and key cutoffs:

  • 50K: 7,500 ft gain, 11 hour cutoff
  • 25K: 3,500 ft gain, equal loss, 5.5 hour cutoff, not hiker friendly

All races start and finish at Sky Valley, Georgia. The 50K is scheduled for Saturday and the 25K for Sunday.

Finishers' items and guarantees are specified by distance. The 50K finishers receive a medal, pint glass, hat, free photos and a post race meal. The 25K finishers receive a medal and a hat. To be guaranteed a hat, pint glass or finishers medal, registration must be completed by September 1.

Organizers report over 3,500 man hours of trail maintenance on the course and make donations to the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy. Early bird pricing is listed for each distance through July 1 with higher pricing thereafter. Registration closes October 23 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
