The Georgia Sky to Summit trail races take place October 25-26, 2025 in Sky Valley, Georgia. The event offers two distances:
- 50K - 7,500 ft gain, 11 hour cutoff, held Saturday
- 25K - 3,500 ft gain, same loss, 5.5 hour cutoff, held Sunday
All races start and finish at Sky Valley. Maps, aid station breakdowns, and a runner handbook are provided for each distance.
Course, support, and policies
The course reaches Rabun Bald, passes waterfalls and overlooks, and runs through forest trails with fall foliage and long views. All finishers receive a medal, pint glass, hat, free photos, and a post-race meal; to be guaranteed a hat, pint glass, and medal a runner must be registered by September 1. Organizers report more than 3,500 man hours of trail maintenance on the route and make donations to the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy.
The event policy states no refunds within 90 days of the race; cancellations from 6 months to 90 days before the race receive half credit toward another Run Bum Race of equal or lesser value; cancellations earlier than 6 months may receive full credit.
