Georgia Sky to Summit
Dillard, United States • 24-25 Oct 2026
Event overview
Sky To Summit is a trail running event held October 24-25, 2026 in Sky Valley, Georgia. All races start and finish at Sky Valley. The event includes two distances held on separate days.
Distances
- 50K - 7,500 ft gain; 11 hour cutoff
- 25K - 3,500 ft gain and loss; 5.5 hour cutoff
Course and terrain
The courses run on mountain trails around Sky Valley. Routes pass alongside waterfalls, reach Rabun Bald (the second highest point in Georgia), and include long sections of forested trail with fall foliage and wide views that extend into neighboring states. The 25K is described as not hiker-friendly and requires running downhill at minimum.
Support, logistics and extras
Race materials include maps, aid station breakdowns, and cutoff information; a runner handbook covers rules, crew and pacer policies. Volunteer opportunities are available. Organizers report more than 3,500 man-hours of trail maintenance work on the course and make donations to the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy. Finish items: 50K finishers receive a medal, pint glass, hat, free photos and a post-race meal; 25K finishers receive a medal and hat. To guarantee a hat, pint glass and finisher medal, registration must be completed by September 1.
Registration and cancellation policy
Early pricing applies through July 1 (50K: $135, then $145; 25K: $105, then $115). Registration closes October 23 at 11:59 PM ET. Cancellation rules specify no refunds within 90 days of the event; partial or full credit toward another Run Bum Race is available depending on the cancellation window. Full credit is offered for pregnancy and military order deferrals and is valid for two years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
