The River Dash

The event is held at Adur Recreation Ground in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex (Brighton Road, BN43 5LT). It features measured running races on riverside paths that follow the River Adur and the Downs Link trail. The route goes past Shoreham Airfield, crosses the Toll Bridge, follows the Downs Link to a turnaround point, and then returns to the start at the Adur Rec. The course has virtually no elevation change and includes pathway and very light trail sections.

Practical information

The course is chipped for timing and is marshalled. Facilities listed for the event include toilets on site, water at various points, fully stocked aid stations, bespoke finishers medals and trophies for the first three finishers, food trucks and spectator seating. On-site parking at Adur Recreation Ground is reserved for event staff and emergency services. Public parking options within a 5-15 minute walk include Shoreham Beach Car Park, Ropetackle Car Park, Tarmount Lane Car Park, and Buckingham Road Car Park.
