Event format

The STAR Backyard PEASLAKE is a three-hour backyard trail event held on Friday 21 November 2025 at Peaslake Community Hall, Peaslake, Surrey GU5 9RR. Participants aim to complete as many 5 km laps as possible within the three-hour window. There is no chip timing; runners wear a race number and receive a wristband for each completed lap. The entry fee is £20 and includes refreshments. Winners of the men’s and women’s races receive prizes.

Course and logistics

The lap starts at Peaslake Village Hall and runs clockwise through Walking Bottom Car Park, with a gentle 2 km ascent toward Pitch Hill followed by a mostly downhill return to the start. The event is held at night and is a head torch event; participants use head torches on the course. Free parking is available at Walking Bottom Car Park and nearby spots; attendees are asked not to block any rights of way.
