The 5 Trails Ultra links sections of five long-distance trails: Serpent Trail, New Lipchis Way, West Sussex Literary Trail, Monarchs Way and South Downs Way. The Half Marathon uses sections of Serpent Trail, New Lipchis Way and South Downs Way, plus additional trails at the foot of the Downs in Graffham. The venue offers Downland views and plentiful parking. The Ultra has four stocked checkpoints; the Half has one checkpoint. SportIdent electronic timing is used. Finishers receive a wooden eco-medal. Join WRNL 3 in Colden Common for a lively 60 minute orienteering score event where you pick controls in any order to rack up points. Lights and hi viz required; hired dibbers available and juniors must be accompanied.

Big Night Out Winchester is a torchlit trail run on the South Downs from Winchester Athletics Track with 12 km and 22 km options. Run by headtorch along ridges and rivers and opt to have a tree planted instead of a finishers medal.

Join SE Champs Weekend on 15 and 16 November for night and middle orienteering in a largely new area beside Britty Wood, open to all abilities. Expect tough championship courses, friendly atmosphere and on site toilets and refreshments.

Explore the woods around Slindon with South Downs Orienteers on Saturday 15 November, with multiple courses to suit all abilities. Juniors can enter free with a special code; contact the organiser if you need one.

Explore the rolling Meon Valley on scenic trail loops from Swanmore, with 15.5 mile, 21.5 mile and tough 40 mile options across the South Downs. Expect notable climbs, tricky underfoot sections and fully stocked checkpoints for support.
