Five Trails Ultra and Three Trails Half Marathon

The Five Trails Ultra and Three Trails Half Marathon are trail races based at Westerlands in Graffham, Petworth, West Sussex GU28 0QJ. Both routes start at the foot of the South Downs and use established long distance trails and countryside tracks.

The 50 km Ultra follows sections of the Serpent Trail, New Lipchis Way, South Downs Way, West Sussex Literary Trail and Monarchs Way in a single loop. The Half Marathon follows the Serpent Trail, New Lipchis Way and South Downs Way and includes tracks at the foot of the Downs around Graffham.

Facilities and race management include SportIdent electronic timing, event medical cover, a sweeper runner, fully signed and supported routes, and four aid stations for the Ultra at 6.5, 12, 18 and 25 miles and one aid station for the Half at 6.5 miles. Finishers receive a wooden eco-medal.

Entry is online only and closes 6pm on Thursday 12th November or when capacity is reached. Minimum age is 18 and dogs are not permitted. A mandatory kit list applies. The Ultra has a 10 hour cut off with a final finish cut off at 20:00 and the Half Marathon has a 5 hour time limit. Deferral requests must be made by Friday 6th November. A 100 mile non stop race along the South Downs Way from near Winchester to Eastbourne, with 12 aid stations, full medical support and a 30 hour limit. Entry requires a prior 50 mile qualifier within specified times.

A 50 km nonstop trail race across the South Downs National Park with about 1,200 m of ascent, four aid stations, full medical support and a nine hour cut off. The course starts at Matterley Bowl and finishes at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

An inflatable obstacle event in Brighton on Saturday 13 June 2026 offering 2.5k, 5k, 10k and 15k options with large inflatables, multiple music zones, on-course water and a finisher medal for all participants.

A 100 mile off road loop event at Denbies Wine Estate on 20 June 2026, fully chip timed with up to 30 hours to finish. Multiple distances run concurrently, from half marathons to 100 miles, on a roughly flat 1 mile loop.
