The Relentless

The Relentless is an ultra running event held on 18 September 2026 at Bridgend Miniature Railway in Bridgend, South Wales. The course is a 10-mile loop used repeatedly to build the event distances and support structure.

There are two distance options:

  • 50 miles - 5 laps of a 10-mile loop; 25 entrants only.
  • 100 miles - 10 laps of a 10-mile loop; 25 entrants only.

Elevation is given as approximately 3,500 ft for the 50-mile option and approximately 7,000 ft for the 100-mile option. Time limits are 24 hours for the 50-mile race and 45 hours for the 100-mile race. Both formats use the same lap-based structure so each 10-mile circuit acts as a recurring checkpoint.

A major hub at the start/finish serves as the lap checkpoint. That hub provides food, hydration, and medical support. Drop-bag access and a crew zone are available each lap, and a sleep station is available if required. Prizes include bespoke medals and trophies for top finishers and a commemorative 100-mile ring for 100-mile finishers.

Entry fees and entry windows are specified for each distance, and each distance is limited to 25 entrants. The event is organised by Mad Running Junkies. The event description notes that the format emphasises restarting each lap as a mental and physical strategy to cover long distances.
