The Sorbrook Slog is a multi-terrain race organised by Griffithstown Harriers in Cwmbran on 22 February 2026. The course is described as approximately 7 mile, running across footpaths, open fields, country lanes and gullys of Sorbrook and Sluvad. The start location is a field just off Tre-Herbert Rd, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ. A GPX route file is available for the course.

Entry and logistics

Online entry is through Entry Central and closes on 19 February 2026; on-the-day entries are available. Entry fees are £13 for affiliated runners and £15 for non-affiliated runners. Parking is available at the Gwent Crematorium. Numbers can be collected early or on the day. A bag drop is provided but items are left at the competitor's own risk.

Services and prizes

The route will be marshalled and there will be medical and rescue cover. Tea, coffee and cake are provided for competitors. Each runner will receive a drawstring bag with goodies. Prizes are awarded in multiple categories, including 1st to 3rd male and female plus 40+, 50+ and 60+ age-category winners; only one prize per person. A photographer will be on course and images will be free to use with credit. The event has a Welsh Athletics permit pending. Total places are 200.
