Sorbrook Slog

The Sorbrook Slog takes place on 22 February 2026 and is organised by Griffithstown Harriers, Cwmbran. The event is a multi-terrain race of approximately 7 miles, run across footpaths, open fields, country lanes and gullys in the Sorbrook and Sluvad area. The race starts from a field just off Tre-Herbert Rd, Cwmbran NP44 2BZ. A GPX route file is available.

Entry, facilities and prizes

Online entry closes at midnight on 19 February 2026; on-the-day entries are available. Entry fees are £13 for affiliated runners and £15 for non-affiliated runners. Total places are listed as 200. Parking is available at the Gwent Crematorium. There is a bag drop facility but items are left at the owner’s risk. The event provides marshals, medical and rescue cover, and complimentary tea, coffee and cake for competitors. A photographer will be on the course and images will be free to use with a credit. Results and photos will be posted after the event on the Griffithstown Harriers website and on Facebook. Prizes include a drawstring bag with goodies for each runner and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female, plus 1st place awards in male and female 40+, 50+ and 60+ categories; only one prize per person.
