The Kymin Dash is a 7 mile road and trail race held on 12 April 2026. The course begins with an ascent to the Round House, a local viewpoint at about 850 ft. After the climb the route descends through fields and bluebell‑carpeted forest tracks, then finishes with a long flat section along Hadnock Road into Monmouth School Sports Club. There are awards for the first to the top (King and Queen of the Hill) as well as finishing places, age‑category prizes in 10 year bands, and male and female team prizes (four to a team).

Location and race logistics

Race headquarters is at Haberdashers School Sports Complex, Hadnock Road, Monmouth, NP25 3NG. Number and chip collection is available on the morning of the event; numbers are not posted in advance. The race uses reusable timing chips worn on the ankle; chips and ankle bracelets are collected after the race and failure to return them may incur an additional charge. A bag drop is provided in the school hall but items are left at the participant’s own risk. Parking at the Sports Centre is limited. Tea, coffee and cakes will be available for purchase on site.

Entry, fees and rules

Total places are 200 and the event status is open. Early pricing applies until 14 January; standard fees are shown up to 10 April and on‑the‑day entries are cash only. Entries are non‑refundable. Transfers are permitted via the official process for a fee and must be completed before 31 March; deferrals are not offered.
