The St David's Day Dragon Run 2026 takes place on 1 March 2026 at Dare Valley Country Park, Dare, Aberdare, Wales, CF44 7PS. Race format and distances
The event includes a 7 hour Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how far they run. The minimum distance is 3 km. Course, services and facilities
The route follows well maintained footpaths with countryside views and is suitable for road trainers. Aid and drinks tables are located at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal; distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer distances. There is a goody bag for finishers, including a vegan option. The venue provides toilets and a nearby cafe; there are no separate changing facilities or showers. Free parking is available. A bag drop is offered but is not secure.
