The Raven 24-Hour
The Raven is a 24 hour track race held at the Town Hall track in Mount Pleasant, SC. The course is a USATF certified 400 meter rubberized track with lights on through the night. Two porta-potties will be located near the track. A nearby gymnasium will be open during and after the event and includes restrooms with showers and a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee machine, and microwave.
The event is USATF sanctioned and record eligible. All entrants will receive results for their 100 mile split if reached and for the full 24 hours. National records will be reported to USATF and world performances to the IAU for ratification within 10 calendar days after the competition.
Field size will be limited. Entry is prioritized for runners meeting specified "A" and "B" standards, with qualifications required within the last two years. Applicants are reviewed and ranked until capacity is reached; a waitlist is used for those who wish to be considered.
Timing is provided by a timing team from Rough Runners in Savannah, GA. Direction of travel on the track will change every four hours. Runners may leave the track area but must remain inside the fenced area and return to the same place before continuing.
Aid station items include water, electrolyte drinks, sodas, snacks, and limited hot foods; athletes should bring any special dietary items they require. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
