Event overview

The Raven 24-Hour is a 24-hour track running event in Mount Pleasant, SC, held at the Town Hall track. The event is USATF sanctioned and the rubberized, certified 400-meter track is eligible for record ratification and U.S. 24-Hour Team qualification. The field is limited to 40 entrants and entry is prioritized by performance standards. Applicants are reviewed using "A" and "B" qualification standards from the past two years; all applicants are asked to join the waitlist to be considered for entry. Exceptions to qualification requirements may be possible.

Course, facilities and race operations

The competition takes place on a lit rubberized 400 m track. Two porta-potties will be located near the track. A gymnasium with men’s and women’s restrooms, showers, and a kitchenette with fridge, coffee machine, and microwave will be open during the event. An aid station will provide water, electrolyte drinks, sodas, packaged foods, and limited hot items such as broth and soup; athletes are responsible for special dietary needs. Timing is electronic with an on-site display showing laps and distance. Direction of travel will change every four hours. Runners may leave the running surface but must remain inside the fenced area and return to the same point before continuing to avoid double counting laps.
